Singularity versus Duality
At some point in human evolution some people believe we will pass from a system of duality to a of singularity. This is currently a fantastic idea yet it isn’t that strange to think that we are heading into a new dimension of existance. Seers and prophets have hinted to a time when the mind would undergo a tremendous and sudden mental shock but they didn’t necessarily put a timeline on that event. Artists and authors have been painting the picture in form and words for centuries as a scientific realm of advanced humanoids. The scientific community has been adding to the knowledge base of this time for ever but with increasing momentum starting in the Renaissance.
Today we are at the asymptote. A few more adjustments and we may qualify as the living art and words of our ancestors. The acceleration from the asymptote could see us push through the final gate and no one knows exactly where this quantum leap will have us land.
It both exhilarating and exciting to watch the progress of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence and neuroscience and uploading (To transfer the consciousness and mental structure of a person from a biological matrix to an electronic or informational matrix). But are we ready for this journey into the unknown?
That’s the creative argument. Can we stop the progress? Can we control the machine that is being created?
Jack and the Beanstalk may not be as fictional after all. The seed is sewn, the shoots have sprout, and the beanstalk is about to grow fractally.
Is Jack going to be able to hold on for the ride and if he does then will he be able to play politics with the unknown?
Within this big argument of whether or not we should proceed there are a billion other creative arguments. And a trillion yes and no answers along the way.
Can the human psyche handle it ?
Who knows maybe once we get there, if there is a there, we will find that the machine we have created was in fact the very machine that created us and that created itself.
In fact the only truth in the whole matter was that the first intelligence was a spirit of nothingness; a singularity. That first spark, or the little Big Bang as i like to call it was the first creative argument of duality. From there the machine created energy and bio energy …etc…..
How ironic would it be to find out that from that singularity G-d the duality matrix came to be. A machine or a human.
